Catalytic Cyclopropanation of Polybutadienes
Catalytic cyclopropanation of commercial 1,2or 1,4cis-polybutadiene, respectively, with ethyl diazoacetate catalyzed by [TpCu(NCMe)] (Tp 1⁄4 hydrotris(3,4,5-tribromo-1-pyrazolyl)borate) at room temperature afforded high molecular weight (Mn > 10 5 mol ) side-chain or main-chain, respectively, carboxyethyl cyclopropyl-substituted polymers with variable and controlled degrees of functionalization...
متن کاملEffect of Alkanethiol Functionalization on Surface Reactivity in Catalytic Sensors
Introduction The interaction of organic adsorbates is known to play a significant role in a large number of chemical reactions[1], yet the catalytic systems that exploit these effects on a fundamental level to improve selectivity are lacking. Alkanethiols represent a possible platform for the modification of catalytic surfaces through their ability to form well ordered monolayers on the surface...
متن کاملGain functionalization of silica microresonators.
Erbium-doped solgel films are applied to the surface of silica microspheres to create low-threshold microactivity lasers. This gain functionalization can be applied by use of a number of different dopants, thereby extending the wavelength range of this class of device. Also, by varying the doping concentration and thickness of the applied solgel layer, one can vary the laser dynamics so that bo...
متن کاملMetallamacrocycle-modified gold nanoparticles: a new pathway for surface functionalization.
We report herein the designed synthesis of four silver(I)- or gold(I)-bridged flexible metalla-macrocycles (MMCs) and their distinct performance in the surface modification of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). The resulting gold(I)-MMCs-modified AuNPs were found to be resistant to pH variation and capable of binding with metal ions.
متن کاملSurface Functionalization of Exosomes Using Click Chemistry
A method for conjugation of ligands to the surface of exosomes was developed using click chemistry. Copper-catalyzed azide alkyne cycloaddition (click chemistry) is ideal for biocojugation of small molecules and macromolecules to the surface of exosomes, due to fast reaction times, high specificity, and compatibility in aqueous buffers. Exosomes cross-linked with alkyne groups using carbodiimid...
